Chipchura was on the team, Della Roverre was on the team, Cormier was on the team. Just saying. It's something to put on the resume, but doesn't and shouldn't be the big deal breaker on a guy struggling to find consistency in the OHL as a top-5 pick threat.

If thats the case then ya, dump him in the offseason after he thinks he's a 7 million dollar player at 24 averaging 40-45 points per season...

Leafs aren't a contending team, and won't be arguably for the life of his contract.

RoR Works hard. He plays the game the right way. That is what Leafs need for a rebuilding team. And if Leafs manage to get Strome in this draft, he can play behind RoR for a couple years (in a couple years) and ideally eventually overtake him.

and my entire argument for RoR is based on Leafs blowing it up and rebuilding for next 3-5 yrs. Though obviously if that's the case RoR probably doesn't sign a long extension.

6 million is overpaying him by 2 at least at this very moment, if you want a centre draft one...

Takeaways and +\- are not indicative of great defensive players. Getting more than 31 points is indicative of a decent offensive forward. And over 6 mil for a 40 point forward is Clarksonesque
