So Kessel's contract is garbage but a team that has stock piled young players, remained patient and are finally one of the leagues best (Isles) are going to just take on that albatross contract? You make little to no sense and are likely as stoned as the towel in your avatar.

If I were the leafs I would target the Isles as a destination for Kessel. They have cap room and could use a good winger to play with Johnny Tavares and have some blue chip D prospects.

Speaking of drunks, there was a guy on here last night saying he would draft Crouse over Hanifin and Marner. Pretty much saying he's the 4th best prospect after Strome.

What say you to that?

I never claimed he was the 4th best prospect... all I said was if I was Toronto and McDavid, Eickel and Strome were all drafted I think they should consider Crouse... why...

because we have a few small players already and could use his size... we also need more depth at the forward position. Remember he's also only 17 and played for Canada in the Juniors so he does have talent! Especially considering he beat out Dal Colle (the Islanders pick last year at 5 who was suppose to be a lock for that Juniors team)!

We have D prospects like Finn Percy and Granberg so the D looks ok so no need to Draft Hanifin

I like Marner but he's on the small side (noticed I didn't say not talented... I really like him too... if Hunter has him on his Knights team then I think he knows how good Marner is) compared to Crouse and since we went small last year with Nylander as well as some other guys like Crouse was a viable option...

Finally I said if we can trade down and get Strome because another team behind us wants Hanifin or Marner then thats great too because we can get more assets!

Clearly you missed the memo.. that's ok... I'll assume you were just as drunk if not more so then me!

(frank) no.....Hall is younger and cheaper and in better shape ( not that it matters) but Kessel is the better scorer, so trade expectations should be equal.
