So anyways we were talkin aboutthis in the Leafs thread the other day and we're thinking - you guys suck and will always suck and so McDavid won't help you anyways. So we're thinking, we'll take McDavid off your hands. 1/3 of us think you should just give us the pick for Kessel. 1/3 of us think you guys should just lose your 1st altogether because your intentional tanking ruins the integrity of the game. 1/3 of us think that a sweet package of Reimer + Phaneuf + 2nd should get us your lottery pick. The bigger debate is what will you throw in since you are getting the almighty Phaneuf. We think we should get Ristolainen and Grigorenko as well. I think your dreaming if you think the Sabres will ever win the Stanley cup

In the Buffalo blog we've been kicking around the idea of trading for Kessel. A third of the guys don't want any part of him (I'm not trying to flame here), another third would take him for a reduced salary and the last third would take him at full salary. The bigger debate is how much he will get back at full salary. I like the guy but his salary and his position significantly lower his return. I think you're dreaming if you think that you're going to get a significant return without taking back a large salary or holding salary.

Nash, Carter, MRichards, BRyan ............all those trades are good precedent.
