I truly believe Anaheim would be a perfect partner for us. A 2015 1st, Etem, and Vatanen/Ritchie should be enough for us to trade Kessel. I am not totally sold on Ritchie yet and would consider another prospect or grab Fowler to add to our D corps. Ideally though, it's Vatanen as the centrepiece.....

To add to this, I surely hope Hunter levels the playing field on drafting. Everyone talks about Detroit, with just cause, however Anaheim's drafting record also is very very good and underrated.

I'm kinda thinking you can get more for Kessel at the deadline.

He's not a building block. He is a guy to push your team over the top.

So I'm thinking that the best deal can be had at the deadline, when some GM gets tempted to go all in - and gets stoopid about it.

And if they trade Kessel, they are burning the boats; it's full-on reconstruction, because no UFA will want to come here. We will be building from within, because it will be our only option.

Kessels play had fallen off considerably lately so that has to hurt his value a bit.

I'm surprised NAS doesn't want him for more firepower up front and a bit of insurance on Forsberg. They have lots of cap space still.
