This....

It would have to be Barkov Bujstad and or Ekblad.... gotta give to get.... plain and simple..

I say Ekblad a 2nd and an poopty expiring contract or low level prospect..... but I'm pretty sure as soon as Toronto even utter Ek... Tallons starts laughing and hangs up the phone.

No way Florida trades their #1 Dman for 10 years for a guy who's angry, well fed and close to thirty no matter how many goals he's scored or will score... just not happening!

- thehockeygod

No way I offer up Ekblad if I am Tallon.

Actually no.

Tallon is pretty well respected around the league I think. You don't get that way by offering other GMs Bergenheim in a deal for Kessel, unless that is a small piece of a much more legitimate offer.

GMs don't behave like the idiots on these boards.

- Aetherial

I didn't suggest just Bergenheim for Kessel.. There was a 1st + in there.

Clearly you're making poop up haha

Fla isn't trading any of the 4 young guys..

I even asked who else would they offer??

I know Bergenheim demanded a trade so obviously they are you to try to move him.

Kessels play had fallen off considerably lately so that has to hurt his value a bit.

I don't get why you're vilifying me, but whatever, says more about you than me.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

You're at it again

Stop talking poop so personal. I've been wrong before. many times.

But i know something stupid when i see it... and if the rest of the board is against you... chances are you're wrong.

Just laugh it off and say (frank) me right?

or you can go the other route and say that it is your opinion or some poop and opinions cant be wrong.

FYI just because i player demanded a trade doesnt mean they are the integral part of acquiring a top 10 player in the NHL

didn't mean you , lol sorry...

just people on here that for some reason don't want "smaller" players on this team. Like you said, there is nothing wrong with a small, fast team.

- MCharisma91

Montreal had a small fast team and have tried like crazy to get bigger. Wouldn't you rather a large fast team?

I don't mind small players with skill as they also normally skate like the wind. My fear though is if you have too many of them they get run over by the opposing dmen in the corners etc. Somehow you need to balance some bigger players to help out the small skill guys so they can do their stuff without the fear of getting hammered. There was one where Sharp, Bickell and a 1st was coming to Toronto for Polak, Winnick and some convoluted conditions on some draft pick with some salary retention. It was glorious.
- Elbows15

I think the best part is when people actually put in convoluted conditions. I also like when they try to explain their reasoning.

Those suggestions are so extra special because you actually get the sense these people believe it... they believe it can happen!

You always dissect my poop.. Then try to play the rational guy..

Who would Fla offer?? Exactly what I said? Bergenheim, 1st +???

But let's turn this into a pissing match

Alright. How about Borque, fiala, scissons, stalberg (salary dump) this years 2nd and next years 1st for Kessel

Let's do this

Burke didn't, which is why we traded two firsts for Biggs.
- The Shrike

Not quite

It was a 1st and 2nd round pick....

Almost every trade proposal has the other team retaining salary because everyone wants to help the Hawks out. Plus. No other team has to worry about the cap except the Hawks. Apparently.

That's what I said Ekblad isn't going anywhere unless it's a guy like Stamkos going the other way... and the chances of that happening are less then ZERO..... if that is even possible??!?!?

that isn't going to affect his value. christ. If Paul (frank)ing Gausted got two 1st, don't think Kessel is going to be cheap.

This is the Edmonton fans strategy...

1) Identify everything important or potentially good
2) offer everything else for a star from another team

Trade suggestions are more reasonable when both fan bases think "No Way". If one fan base, in this case Nashville's spends the next few weeks giggling behind their hands then it probably was not a good trade offer.

I actually wish they would just take back the salary retention thing. I am not sure it really helped facilitate any deals (even if it was part of them). It just gives people more material to cook up stupid sh1t.

Even at the time, a lot of people around the league kind of raised an eyebrow at that one.

GMs really don't do that sh1t much anymore.
