Ekblad and Barkov would be off the table (1D and 1C), but anyone beyond that they should consider.
- lumlums

This...

But I would only want 1 of Ekblad or Bujkstad (Spelling) along with a player and pick depending on who we are getting!

Do you think Mike Smith could be had out of Pheonix?
Bernier a 2nd for Smith?

- Tom Dusome

I am not sure that is a big upgrade to be honest.

Kessel, 1st and a 2nd for Stewart from the Sabres. Probably not enough from the Leafs though.
- stonehead

Send him down the 401 so the Toronto media can continue to annoy him

How's he been doing lately?
- Arctic_AARDVARK

You're right, he is worth substantially less now.

Then why trade Kessel? If the Leafs aren't getting a premium package in return why even trade him? If they are rebuilding they don't need the cap space. There is no need to get rid of him unless they are getting a major piece for the future.

This is the part that people can't understand because too are so fcuking stupid apparently.

fair enough... I just thought my proposal of Huberdeau/Kulikov/1st being at least reasonable haha.

how about the Ducks? They have a poop load of dmen...Lindholm/Vatanen/Fowler/Theodore, any one of those 4..and any one of DSP/Rakell/Silfverberg & a 1st?

- MCharisma91

Ritchie, Fowler, 1st.

Is Kessel worth a 1st , 2nd and 2nd?
- PinkSock

It'd take more than that to move him..... Certainly more than a 1st and boyes.

looks like he could be a first line centre to me, but also that 1st
i think it would be a good deal

- the_eye

Exactly, no team clearly out of playoff contention will give up a 1st in this year's draft...Colorado might be one of the only teams on the outside who might take a risk for the potential of sneaking in, and if they don't make the playoffs, the Leafs would be looking at a 10 - 15th overall pick in a deep draft.

that isn't going to affect his value. christ. If Paul (frank)ing Gausted got two 1st, don't think Kessel is going to be cheap.

bah, they know who phil is. this slump isn't going to hurt his value.
- Lee Denault

I think this slumping trend definitely hurts his value.. It's his known downfall.

He never misses a game, but he doesn't always show up either..

Yeah because GMs will overlook the past 4 years and consider only his crappy play in the middle of an entire team-wide sh1tstorm in which he is criticized constantly and every day and playing for a team that has publicly packed it in for the season.

Is Kessel worth a 1st , 2nd and 2nd?
- PinkSock

- Lee Denault

So.. He'll score 15 2 goal games and hang his team out to dry the rest of the time..

He's a good complimentary player.

I like the Gudbrannson, Huberdeau, and 1st for Kessel deal.
- BoTtLePoLiCe

Why?

Huberdeau isn't that great. Gudbranson is ok, but closer to a 2nd pairing guy than top pairing I would think. And the 1st will be mid round.

So you're trading an excellent asset for 3 decent-mediocre ones?
