I played bubble hockey vs. Jagr many years ago. he had girls following him putting down quarters on the machine. I think it was Rod Woodson's bar. My brother in law and I were pretty excited and drunk and we got beat. Girls were also giving him Kit kat bars from their purses as they knew he liked them. He was 19 at the time.

Ugh, those never grew on me. After seeing the throwbacks from last week, I still think of the "yellow" snoop dogg was the best.

A season that ends in a second round loss to the Devils is what constitutes a great year for the Flyers now? Way to lower the bar.

Anyone else hate that when Talbot returned to play the Pens as a Flyer we gave him a video and all the rich silver spoon yinzer tards cheered for a turncoat, then booed the first time a true Pens legend touched the puck for the first time in the new house of the team he helped, really helped to 2 cups? That says a lot about most of the people that attend Pens games. I would attempt to fight every single man/women/child/buckle up baby that calls themselves a Pens fan then boos Jager.

They humiliated the Pens. Every Flyers fan considers that a great year.

I understand it. I felt dirty hating Jagr, but part of me hated him, and I probably would have booed him if I was there. I would have felt uncomfortable during the Talbot fanfare, but the same part of me that hated Jagr didn't hate Talbot. This is why:

Negotiations with Talbot were very civil. He did not leave in any theatrical way. In fact, he wanted to stay and for a pretty fair contract at that. Dumbass Shero instead decided to give that contract to Tyler Kennedy and actually suggested to Talbot to follow the money because there was none for him in Pittsburgh. When the money ended up being in Philadelphia, Ray Shero ENCOURAGED Talbot to sign the deal because it was a good deal for Maxime. Talbot's departure was 100% on Shero. Furthermore, say what you want, you can't deny that Talbot was a damn hero during our cup run, and that's a fresh memory.

On the other hand, Jagr and the Pens didn't depart on the greatest terms, so there was already a crowed in the Burg that didn't like him and maybe even despised him. But people were ready to absolve him and welcome him back when he started hinting at wanting to make one final run at the cup where he started it all. Then everyone was pretty much blind sided when he signed with the Flyers. Even though it was probably once again Shero's fault, an old wound was reopened, hence the boos.

Downie has Matt Cooke disease. He get's penalized because of the name on the back of his jersey.

Cooke at least was an otherwise solid hockey player. Downie doesn't do anything except take penalties, and they're the worthless kind, too.

Can't argue with that. Wasn't a fan of the signing. I keep waiting for something to change my mind. It's early though....

Ticky tack hold call...thats definitely a case of calling the penalty because of who it was. Cooke would have been called for a hold there too...if it was jagr would have been hard good forechecking.

Fwiw...absolute goal on the pp...clearly in under the pad.
