Got a countdown going to Cookemas Day yet? |

Columbus is moving in the right direction. They finally have a GM that knows hockey and puts an emphasis on scouting and development. His track record in STL before was impeccable. Columbus will only continue to get better and better. |

I really didn't expect the Sedins to sign only 4 year extensions. Good job by Vancouver. |

Once again the PP looking strong with Martin distributing and Kunitz in front creating traffic. |

Really smart shot by Martin - Deadstar
Yes it was. We all know he doesn't have a booming shot but he places it rather well. Definitely was our best PP QB last year. |

That move from Malkin to draw the penalty was just filthy |

Fleury very strong. Exceptional. The Penguins have to push things a bit though. Quite a few saves in all different situations for CBJ. Can't make Fleury do it all. |

Ohh that regular season Flower, just brilliant in the first. Pens need to pick up the attack a bit. |

Sutter, Adams and Glass getting dominated every time they hit the ice. What's with Engo continuing to get a jersey at forward.... |

FF% for 1st period
Sutter 16.7%
Adams 20.0%
Glass 20.0%
They are definitely struggling.
Its going to be nice when Sutter has linemates and he is able to contribute offensively again. |

Interesting current career numbers for MAF and Ryan Miller
MAF (478 games) 258-153-41 / 2.64 GAA / .910 SV% / 24 SO
Miller (511 games) 270-174-54 / 2.60 GAA / .915 SV% / 28 SO
I was surprised that they were that similar. Depending on how long Miller stays in Buffalo, it's quite possible Fleury passes him in wins before the season is over. |
