I'd rather have Lauridsen out there than Volchenkov.

Oh, he's had enough.

I pity his neighbors if CSP has another couple bad games and the Rangers get swept...he'll be streaking.

Hank definitely plays deeper in his crease than anybody not named Felix Potvin.

It's not as impressive that you should remember Felix the cat, as it is that you should recall how he positioned himself in net

i don't think he's the best goalie in the league. never have. even if he'd won 5 cups, imo, it's arrogant to decorate yourself as a king of anything. if the rest of the world wants to call you that, fine.
- hammarby31

Who's the best goalie in the league? Even if he won 5? Okay the hate is very strong here, blinding.

Also about the nickname, i dont see the big deal, the crowd started calling him that and it just got bigger.

edit: Nvm read through the huge amount of 5 pages . I like Quick i was one of the "Crazy" ones who suggested trading him for Carter. Still don't think he's better, i guess we'll just have to agree to disagree good sir.

How the Hell is it that I just found out now that the Phillies Spanish language PxP guy is named Rickie Ricardo?

My statement wasn't innacurate. And if Bill misundestood what I was saying, as if I thought it was an All Star game situation, I clarified that in a follow up post.

I'd be happy to discuss any part of my post, that you think is innacurate.

And your comments here support my statement, that teammates and defense pairings aren't used to playing together. That's a big part of why I feel that the level of play is below the NHL level.

I agree that Gustafsson getting healthy is a reason why his play improved. I think it's possible that he reaches a top 4 level, but right away, not practical. I think he can play a solid 3rd pair game, and man the PP on the 2nd pairing. I'll settle for him providing a solid, mobile, puck moving presence added to the lineup. And not expect him to be a top 4 level player. At least not right away. That is a fair and realistic expectation for Gustafsson.

Lack of true interest. He's been the play by play guy for years and has an occasional show on WIP

My lack of true interest in WIP explains the latter part of your statement, and my inability to understand Spanish could well be why I had no idea about the former.

The WIP hosts have him on from time to time as a guest. Mid Days used to open their show occasionally with his Phils calls. That's the only reason I know. I'm a sporadic 'IP listener in the car and will occasionally stream the Mid Day Show at work.

I first heard of him because he gives occasional reports on KYW 1060.

The first time I heard his name, I swore it was a made up name.

I also don't get 1060 down here, so I had never heard the name before.

Hell I had no idea they had a Spanish broadcast team. I just figured they used T-Mac, Sarge & Wheels, since they can't speak English

Hockey Night in Canada now has a full broadcast in Punjabi

Singh, 28, has developed a signature style tailored for his audience. A puck can be described as an “aloo tikki,” a potato pancake his mother makes especially well. When a team comes back in the second period with renewed energy, Singh might say what translates to “someone must have made them a good cup of chai in the intermission.” A player who celebrates after a big goal will “dance bhangra moves.”
