That may be an understatement. Regardless, the mods should make the same claims as the Fox network. Fair and balanced.

I would not apply my next statement to anyone here, but being an emotional wreck or biased or a little bit of a psycho is not a good trait for a judge, referee or similar type.

take the chip off the shoulder and come down off the cross, afterwards your time and interaction with others will be much more pleasant. I got banned once too, I don't bring it up every other post, and I have to think for 6 seconds on why it was.

LET....... IT...... GO

i wouldn't count on gaborik. he's fragile. didn't do much in the playoffs either iirc. nash could take some time to get his game together. big stage, that msg.

They were really the best team in the league last year. Again, just my opinion, but the road to the cup runs thru NYC. And why I hate them.

they basically did then that flukey ass play leading to a penalty in the last three seconds of regulation Oh well Hope Nash likes using his face as a blocker for Lundy
- JoeRussomanno

i wasn't lazy i would dig up my post from late in that game proclaiming the caps victory. the double minor and goal with 6 seconds left and winner in OT was (frank)ing preposterous.

nash could flop. at least for a little while.

I'll never just let it go. Freedom to speech and opinion should be preserved. Maybe my next character will be the Patriot.

I find it odd that my repetitive martyrdom would drive you nuts, yet the 6,000 trade proposals for Weber is deemed innovative. At this point, I get that everyone would trade Mez Voracek and MAB for Weber.

You have every right to complain and harbor a persecution complex, but that doesn't require you to exercise it.

just trying to help you. Yes you have a freedom of speech, but this is not a public forum without rules or a code of conduct by which we all agree to by joining. This is a great group of people here, if you stick to hockey 90% of the time you will be cool without about 99% of the board. If you say something dumb, I do it all the time and someone calls you on it, don't get all up in arms, just respectfully disagree or fess up to letting your mouth get ahead of your brain, it happens and doesn't make you less of a man for admitting it or saying hey you're a smart dude glad you pointed that out. Well maybe not that exact thing but something along those lines. Bottom line this place really is what you make of it. I try to get along with everyone for the most part, and hopefully you do too. Not that we come here to make friends and all that jazz I'm just saying maybe you get more Flys with some bland honey instead of piss and vinegar.

All I'm saying is maybe it wouldn't hurt if you lightened up a bit.

EDIT: And I'm not referring to weight issues

Then I think we both agree that there should be a code of conduct, and it should be applied equally. What I am ascertaining is that the enforecement of the code is performed rather horribly.

I would love just to speak hockey but sometimes the repitition is overwhelming. So if I add a off the wall element of "humor", I feel I shouldnt be punished.

When the guy running a chocolate factory is making fun of your weight, you know it is time to hit the gym. I'm going.....next week.

they could actually become a more well-rounded team. it's possible.
- hammarby31

The bottom line for me would be simple.

Is our fanbase more likely to support a playoff team with lesser guys, or a non playoff team with Weber? I lean towards the former, because where a lot of NHL teams end up in the black ink is because of playoff revenues. The players don;t draw checks from teams at that point, they get a pool from the NHL.

The code of Conduct is applied at the mods discretion, its in the COC. The mods tend to give everyone a considerable amount of leeway. Around the playoffs we all got a warning that they wouldn't take any poop. Even Bill mentioned it in his blog one day. All that being the case, it's up to us to figure out when the mods discretion is in effect. I've seen you bring up being warned a few times. I myself have gotten an elbow here and there from the mods. Know what I do when that happens? I knock it off. Its called being an adult. Maybe I get a lil leeway because they know I can be told to behave and I'll listen, others I can imagine don't.

Having worked in a profession where enforcement of rules and regulations was a big part of the job description, I would say the work done here is pretty good. They let us bend the rules just enough to enjoy ourselves but not so much we cyber-bully others and take away from the overall experience.

Trust me, I take everything here in good humor. For foochs sake, there is a guy on here named Van Damage. If you take things seriously, you'll end up in the funny farm.

I can imagine talking to my boss about the game, where he said the Flyers played a great game. I would then counter, stating that "Van Damage thinks we got lucky". I would be fired so fooching fast.
