I hope so. They can still re-sign Vorachek with some moves like shelley and walker down. Homer knows what he is doing

I think

Oh, I honestly don't know. Sounds like he thinks they won't. I still am not sure, but, I think I would rather still do the picks more then the players.

4 1st rd picks is not chop liver. The PReds can lock up their key RFAs early and pick up a couple of pieces with all these picks. It's kind of what a small market team needs to do.
- jstross

Nashville can then trade 2 picks + for JaBow

I don think they need to make any moves to re-sign Voracek. But I'll double check that.

Every minute that goes by increases the odds of not matching. You are going to give a guy a 110 m contract for 14 years and you took 5+ days to decide that you really want him when another team put it on the line? Not exactly making him feel special.

Well if I would have to make a read on the situation today. Which would be purely speculative. I would say that although they are capable of matching the OS. They are not prepared to do so. So it's just a bluffing game to see how good of a deal they can get. So we'll see how ruthless Holmgren wants to be. Or how calculated and patient he can be.

The Rangers were very patient. And took advantage of the situation, and made a great deal today.

The Preds are waiting for Wilson to front it all since this is chump change. So I been told.

Reviewing the Preds roster, there is some really impressive young talent both at the forwards and d positions. I really think the Preds may want to think about locking some of these young RFA to longer term deals to help sustain stability in the future. Weber or no Weber, I still think they are a playoff team.
