Do you remember that show he used to host on Saturday or Sunday morning in the 80's on USA Network.... That was spectacular. He would show B Movies and then interject commentary during the commercial breaks. Outstanding.

Thank you for the kind words, not sure about the blogger extraordinaire though...

I actually think it's a fair trade, given that Nash could block deals to anyone and that really limited the pool of bidders.

Dubinsky had a bad year last year, but he's only 26 and has a couple of twenty goal seasons on his resume. Anisimov is a good playmaker and skater. He showed some chemistry with Steppan and Gaborik last year, and is only 24.

Erixon is a takented prospect with some question marks-attitude & strength-but he's got a nice skill set. Plus the Jackets have 3 first rounders in a very deep 2013 draft class.

Nash is a very good player that will help the Rangers, no doubt, but the Jackets could get a nice benefit from their return.

- Jsaquella

yea after thinking about the 3 draft picks in the draft is nice... and I think Hradek tweeted Nash was pretty much controlling where he wanted to go so its not like Howson had options... he could however maybe got more at the draft or deadline but again Nash kinda handcuffed him

The biggest mistake Howson made was waiting until after the TDL. Probably could have got more then.

There's no doubt in my mind now, that if the Flyers really wanted Nash, because they didn't, they would have had him.
- JoeRussomanno

I never really wanted Nash. Would have been interesting to see what he could do with Giroux. For the type of package that would have landed him I would have taken him.

not trying to be a smart ass, but do you really think that rick nash is THAT much better than jordan staal?? you were calling shero a genius for his move.....the returns don't look all that different to me

do you think sutter is about to explode or something? or is it just that the jackets now have no superstars, while the pens still have crosby and malkin? if the later, how does that really matter when analyzing THIS deal???

Columbus just traded their franchise player, and didn't get one of the top 10 players in the Rangers Organization. That's frightening.

yea i just don't think the Flyers ever wanted him. See what we have in the stable this year, see what happens with this Weber scenario once everything is clear then adjust accordingly.

I never called Shero a genius for the return he got for Staal. I thought the deal hurt the Penguins significantly.

Weber is like getting Pronger in his prime.

As good as Cooties/Schenn could be if it came down to Poile holding my testicles and making me choose.

I'd deal them both for Weber.

- flyer_nutter

Schenn Bros and toss in MAB or Gusty and a first.
Sucks to lose Brayden but I think Coots works better for this team and I hate the idea of getting rid of a top and up-and-coming winger in Voracek.

I don't think he will give up that much. I think Homer does love this team. He tried for Parise and Suter but I think it was just doing his part to look like he was trying to upgrade. Weber, he wanted to make sure he didn't go anywhere else in the division. If we get Weber, I really feel it will be for picks. If there is a trade, it will be very small. Not a great return for Nashville. I feel Homer could just re-sign Vorachek and be fine with the team as is.

we could use the breathing room under the cap. I wouldn't mind working a deal with them for those terms.
