home ice goals mean rifle & cannon combo! RT @DebPlacey: Perhaps Anisimov seen as more valuable by CBJ because of unique goal celebrations?

It's a loophole that the Flyers are exploiting, they clearly have a big advantage as a wealthy team. The CBA has to change if they want a level playing field for the small market clubs.
- Marc D

Think about it. They're sitting at the Negotiating table for CBA talks. Fehr and the players on one side. And the League and the Owners on the other side. Including Snider and Minnesota's Owner. And Bettman tells the player, hey we need to cut back player salaries and add term limits and signing bonus limits. If I was Fehr I'd point to Snider and say, tell them that!

Snider would point right back, but with a different finger.

You know why that is. Most passionate fans

(frank) I remember a few years ago there was talk of a Buzzgate going on. Even though I have gotten into small heated disagreements on here it would be cool to meet the hooligans.

I mentioned this on twitter a few hours ago

"When Anisimov scores and turns around to "act like he's shooting the goalie" will anybody be in the arena to see it? "

Actually there are alot of free agent d men for next year that can be an impact player. Still rather get Weber though.
- Richieattack18

Weber is like getting Pronger in his prime.

As good as Cooties/Schenn could be if it came down to Poile holding my testicles and making me choose.

I'd deal them both for Weber.

MJL has a good point, this thing increases the chances for a lock out.

The only reason for that being imo is the bonus money.

Without that it is a very reasonable contract imo.

The bonus money is what will have to be changed in the next CBA. I dont see this deal being too much of an issue, more so a catalyst to get that done.

The lockout has had enough of a chance before this even was offered.

Another thing is realizing that having every team in the League healthy is better for everybody. I've read a lot of comments saying who cares about Nashville's financial situation. Well for one, there is Revenue sharing. So the worse the bottom teams do, the more that goes on. And secondly. Do you want the Cap to go up or down? Want your team to be able to spend money on top players? If team's like Nashville don't generate as much revenue, that is affected.

This situation is good for the Flyers. But it's not good for Nashville, the league, or the fans.

Not to mention that if some of the changes are made from the NHL's first offer to the players. The Flyers lose some of the advantages they had over other teams.

Claude Giroux is going to have to be re-signed at some point. Well no more 13 year deals with low salaries on the back end to lower the Cap hit. So if say the term limit is 5 years, what's the Cap hit going to be? Combine that with potential changes made to how HRR is calculated, and a lower players share. Leading to the Cap not going up as much as before. It's going to make it that more difficult for the teams that always play up against the Cap.

anisimov had a whopping 6 home ice goals last year, probably shouldn't get too excited about the rifle/cannon combo.

Flyers losing a pretty good trading partner in Nashville for one thing.

Then the influence this should have on the new CBA as well.

I wonder how Rinne feels right now. Lost to Giroux for the cover. Lost Suter to Minny. Weber might come to Philly. He must be like "(frank) me" or whatever they say in his language

He can demand a trade to the Yankees to play with Ichiro.

Yeah that happened today, too.
