we don't have the same offense at the moment
- Deasr1

We lost Jagr... But we got Fedotenko! That was the Rangers secret weapon. Flyers win the series 6-0 this year.

I dont think they did. Thier forwards are not as good defensively, which was what gave the Flyers fits. IMO they just became easier to score on, and you saw that we can beat the Penguins at offense, and I dont think the Rangers are as good as Pitt at offense.
- RooNosHockey

Yeah but the Penguins have NO defense to speak of and yes we matched up will with them but the Rangers gave us fits and although they may not be as good with there forwards defensively they didnt drop off that much and there d-corp is still in tact...and they added someone who can actually put the puck in the net

sooo the rags didnt kick our a$$es?? it only looked that way on tv and on the ice? so they needed to beat us by 5 goals each games to have done so???

sure we had a chance to win 2 or 3 of thoes games, but lets face it, they had our number up and down. we need to pay them back. now I think we need Weber to keep pace

Tongue-in-cheek? Try looking at picks 5-10 over the past 10 years, or even 5-15. To put that much stock in one number is a bit silly...

IF Weber says he has ZERO interest to pursue his career with #Preds, Poile will try to work an advantageous deal with #Flyers.

but what really worries me now is that Homer will be more desperate. I am-- sitting here at my desk. I assume he is a better poker player than me.

somewhat, however...

"Because it's the 8th pcik. Even if it wasn't Couturier and it was another player. The chances at that slot of getting a player that is better then Dubinsky or Anisimov is very good. "

Here is my Question. Now that Nash has gone to the Rags, did Poile judt gain leverage on Homer? Now dont we NEED Weber and CAN'T let him walk with the blueshirts getting that much better?? I think this poorly timed Rags deal hurts our position at the bargaining table. Couldnt they have waited 2 more days????
- FlyersFirst

I don't think Polie gained any leverage ... though Homer might be inclined to be a tad more flexible if a trade is being discussed.
