I guess Howson blinked first.

Weber, Doan, and Ryan. GID HOMER.
- stveshdy

Sather probably did this ahead of the Weber resolution to get the Flyers to panic and overpay. We shall see if he succeeds.

if the deal was on the shelf as it went down, you may be right

Holy (frank) is this a joke? A 3rd and 4th line player, a first round pick that will be at the end of the first round...
- PLindbergh31

I can see why Howson was reluctant to pull the trigger now. It sounds like the offer hasn't changed much since the Nash saga started, and I can't imagine Flyers or anybody else offered more. Perhaps there wasn't much Howson could do about it, but the Rangers got away with this one.

I think Howson made a bade deal here. To not get one of Stepan, Kreider, or McDonaugh. Doesn't add up for me. Nash if he plays with Richards could be a deadly tandem.

Howson getting owned yet again. How does this help CBJ rebuild? Better hope that first turns into a Claude Giroux type pick and Erixon maxes out his potential.
- NickTheKid87

A package of four first round picks is a way better return than what Jackets just got. They just got two role players for the face of their franchise. Embarrassing.

This Weber situation better end in a good way.

Extremely happy the Rangers, not us, got Nash. I have never liked the guy for this team and not at that price.

Yeah, none of the guys headed back to CBJ seem like a centerpiece in that package.

Howson got two top-6 forwards, a top defensive prospect and a first round pick for a guy with a $7.8 million/year contract that didn't want to be there.

LOL at anyone who thinks he got robbed.

We shall see how Holmgren answers this move. Sather just destroyed Howson.

I think the Weber saga continues now. Possible two big moves happen in one day?

Dubinsky and Anisimov might be top 6 forwards on Pluto, here on Earth they are role players.

Dubinsky and Anisimov eat up over $6 million against the cap. Wow, Erixson better be the real deal because how Stepan didn't get included I'll never know.
