Honestly lets all take a step back and be thankful Homers our GM. The return he got for richards and carter is amazing compared to what Howson got for a player that is better than both richards and carter and also doesn't have a contract thats 10 plus years.

Um, that is seriously debatable that Nash is better. Nash is one of the most over rated, over priced players in hockey. I guess Sather misses having Drury/Gomez type contracts on his roster.

I wonder if this deal in any way reduces the expected return for Weber? Perhaps it would have had the Flyers not been the only team in on the deal.

Still, as over rated and over priced as Nash is, this was a pretty good deal for the Rangers.
