when the flyers loose players i like i blame the flyers not the team that takes them...Preds fans should blame DP.

The Preds losing Weber won't be DP's fault ...the owners are the ones making this decision

Screw it, I'm telling Poile to match or get off the pot. Let them keep the pics. Send read, gus and a 3rd to ANA for Ryan. Re-sign V.

Simmer Danny Vorechek

No way do I give them the 4 first along with Voracek and Meszaros. The whole idea of giving them players for not matching is to get some of those 4 first round picks back.

I'd have to think about it since I think Weber is that special of a player... I was just stating that as an example of a possible outcomes I see. The only way this will be possible is if Nash convinces Phily that they will indeed match. My logic behind giving this possible scenario is that the flyers have been known to overpay for what they need/want, especially with draft picks.

I'm no Oracle at Delphi, but I had a dream last night that Weber wound up for a slapper and put the puck through Callahan's chest cavity. Cant see the Rags being that eager to drop and block with Weber firing the puck

A 1st liner a top 4 d man with a good shot and 4 1sts? Think about what that does to this team.

Agreed. Just something I could see happening. Homer wants Weber, we all know that. He also doesnt wanna part with Schenn or Cooter. This allows him to do so. That is also a deal that I would do if I firmly believed Nashville is going to match, and even at that I would have to think about it for awhile. I would probably take out Jake, but that deal above would be my final offer doing it that way.
- JFlyers00

I would not do that deal under any circumstances.

Poile hasn't had the option of giving out large front loaded deals to either Suter or Weber. Which is the likely reason why they weren't able to re-sign either player. Rinne has a 7M Cap hit and salary. But he was given no up front money in the deal.

Jake Mez MAB and 2 firsts. Not the 4 plus Voracek and Meszaros. That's a lot

Yet if they don't match, the fans in Nashville are gonna calling for Poile's head...I was listening to a Nashville radio show on Friday and the callers were absolutely ripping him apart. Tough being a GM in a small market.

Does anyone know how close Cousins is to NHL ready? Like if we trade Voracek and Read, would he be able to step in and play 3rd line RW?
Also if Mezzy is getting traded, I want to keep Bourdon. Same style of play, virtually the same player.
