New statements from Kraken General Manager make it seem as if Shane Wright will not only start the year with the Seattle Kraken, but the expectations are that he will stay in Seattle for the whole season. Wright only has one assist in his four pre-season games but the dynamic forward has still had his chances and has been noticeable whenever he is on the ice.

The news certainly shouldn't be surprising as the writing has been on the wall for some time that Wright would make the team out of camp but it does help paint a clearer picture of what to expect from this Seattle opening night roster. Right now it's looking like we will see something along these lines:

Schwartz - Beniers - Bjorkstrand
McCann - Gourde - Eberle
Burakovsky - Wennberg - Wright
Tanev - Geekie - Donato/Donskoi

Overall it has been a successful pre-season for Seattle. We have seen the entire forward core look far more aggressive in the offensive end and generating far more chances than they did last season. Grubauer hasn't played much yet but what we have seen is him looking alot more like he did in Colorado than Seattle last season. This lineup has an influx of top six capable talent whereas last season they struggled to cobble together a legitimate top six group. Burakovsky, McCann, Schwartz, Wright, Bjorkstrand, Beniers Eberle, Donato, and even Donskoi all have the ability to play impact minutes in the top six. It will be intriguing to see what the lineup looks like not only for opening night, but even a month later as chemistry starts to form.
