Penguins aren't dead last in prospect rankings anymore |

The Pittsburgh Penguins haven’t been shy about trading futures to get help now and that isn’t out of the ordinary for any team that is in the middle of the compete window. Naturally, the team doesn’t fare all that well in the annual prospect rankings. They are however better than they were last year (31st), according to Corey Pronman of The Athletic.
These are Corey’s top 10 Penguins prospects
Organizational Top 10 (23 and Under)
1. Jake Guentzel, LW
2. Daniel Sprong, RW
3. Jordy Bellerive, C
4. Calen Addison, D
5. Filip Hallander, LW
6. Tristan Jarry, G
7. Kasper Bjorkqvist, LW
8. Clayton Phillips, D
9. Justin Almeida, LW
10. Jan Drozg, LW
No real surprises on the list. Corey has Daniel Sprong as the only high end prospect for the Penguins (Jake Guentzel wasn’t included due to his NHL sample). Jordy Bellerive and Calen Addison are legit NHL prospects and Filip Hallander “has a chance”.
