The Avalanche close out their four-game road trip Sunday, taking on the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center.
Here are the
GAME NOTES.
They didn’t have a morning skate, so we won’t know who’s starting in goal until shortly before game time, but coach
Jared Bednar said Saturday he was considering giving
Jonas Johansson a second straight start.
Johansson made 28 saves Friday in a 2-0 win against the Ducks for his first NHL shutout.
That would give
Philipp Grubauer an extra day of rest and make him the likely starter Monday against the Arizona Coyotes at Ball Arena.
Goalie
Devan Dubnyk was expected to join the team Saturday following his trade from the San Jose Sharks.
Defenseman
Patrik Nemeth, acquired Friday from the Detroit Red Wings, is expected to be in Denver on Monday or Tuesday.
Defenseman
Jacob MacDonald will finish his two-game suspension for an illegal check to the head of Minnesota Wild forward
Ryan Hartman on Wednesday.
The Avalanche are 2-1-0 on the trip and 14-1-2 in the past 17 games.
