What a horrible way to end the night with Calgary losing in OT on a game in which they dominated but lacked finish all night long. They now hit the road for 5 games and nothing seems to have changed from last year with their star players not producing. If I was a fan in Calgary I would be frustrated as can be seeing this same song and dance again.
Seattle looked tired last night playing their 4th game on the road to start the year, now they play again tonight in NJ. Arizona isn't going to win many games this year, which we all expected but I have a feeling playing the over on their games to start the year with a new coaching staff implementing their systems, might be the way to go.
The Kraken are playing their 5th road game in 8 nights, with NJ sitting at home rested too. System play comes up here with back-to-back road games on consecutive nights, as it does with Anaheim at Edmonton.
Montreal is desperate for a win after scoring three goals in their first three games. SJ has only played one game this season and now starts a 5 game roadie, bizarre scheduling. Lean Habs here.
Minnesota has their home opener tonight against Winnipeg who is now without their captain too due to covid protocol. Wild have started where they left off last season winning their first two on the road.
Florida as a dog in Tampa tonight is very enticing with revenge on their minds from last year's playoffs. The Lightning haven't looked good to start the year and now they're without Kucherov.
Nashville is well rested and needs to start winning at home before they hit November with a horrible road stretch. They are a small fav at home, tempted to play it.
Dallas playing 4th road game in 6 nights and all three of their games have gone under this year. PItt has gone over the total in their three games and after tonight doesn't play again until Saturday.
Chicago home opener tonight after losing their first three on the road to start the year. NYI have looked awful to start the year, slight lean to the Hawks.
Avs/Caps, no Nathan MacKinnon still for Colorado, while, their captain Landeskog is suspended again tonight. Lean to Caps here for me.
Columbus won their first two games but it was against at home against AZ and Seattle. Detroit
has faced TB and Vancouver, much better competition, I will side with the home team in this one.
Home teams are now 25-13 to start the year. Over the total is only 20-18 on the year.
