We definitely got fooled by Detroit last night, a bad call on my part. The Wings are playing like a young team now, inconsistent and unpredictable. Live and learn as they say when it comes to capping NHL games. The Avs saved us coming from behind to win 4-3 in OT. Road teams went 3-2 last night and favs had a slight edge going 3-2, with the over hitting on the totals 4-1!
ANA/MTL - The Habs sat rested while the Ducks played a tough game in Toronto and also off another physical one in Boston. Anaheim is playing their 3rd in 4 nights on the road while the Habs are off a 5 game roadie. Leaning to the Ducks here -138, nice price and I don't like playing teams off long roadies in their first game back.
NJ/TB - TB has been off since Saturday after a quick 3 game west coast Cali trip but the Lightning has Vegas on deck. Do they look past NJ? To steep of a price -310, pass for me.
CAR/OTT - The Sens won in Carolina last month and are playing very good hockey of late going 4-2-1 in their last 7 games. CAR is off a huge emotional OT win over Vegas but with Ottawa having a few more injuries from their last game, the Canes have too much talent to blow this game. Canes -250 is rich, but PL at even money is worth a shot!
VEG/FL - The Panthers are off a 5 game west coast roadie while the Knights are playing their 3rd in 4 nights on the road. FL is so tough at home, very hard to go against them in this spot on home ice.
SEA/PITT - The Pens have won 6 straight and 10 f their last 12 games. I would expect DeSmith in goal as Jarry's has started 5 straight. The Kraken is awful on the road. Pens PL -130 is worth a shot, -315 ML is steep. In 8 of those 10 wins, the Pens won by at least 2 goals, so PL looks solid to me in this spot.
LA/NYI - The Isle have won 7 of their last 9 games and are playing much better hockey at home, plus they are much healthier as they continue their push to get back in the playoff race. The Kings have been off since Monday but are very average on the road, hard to pass up the home side -145!
CAL/STL - The Flames beat STL on Monday night in Calgary 7-1, now it's payback time as they say plus the Flames played last night in CLB while STL rested. The Blues have won 8 of 11 since the break, strong lean to STL -150.
NYR/CLB - The Jackets got embarrassed at home last night by Calgary 6-0. The Rangers have won 9 of 13 games since the break, but all 4 losses came on the road. They got Minny on deck at home tomorrow night, a classic look-ahead spot with the Jackets out for revenge, not a good spot for the Rangers. NYR beat CLB in both games this year, but small lean to CLB +170.
NASH/EDM - The Preds have been very streaky since the break - 2L/5W/4L/3W while the Oilers have won 2 in a row after losing 7 straight. The Preds play a very heavy game and that won't bode well for the Oilers, small lean to the Preds +105.
VAN/WINN - Both teams are so banged but Vancouver has beaten Winnipeg twice this season. The Jets have lost 5 straight and look awful but West teams off a 5 game roadie in their 2nd game back are 6-3 this year. Vancouver has lost 6 of 8 and started a 4 game roadie. Small lean to the Jets -169.
