Last night 3-2-1 +.29 Units
YTD 179-160-4 +27.33 Units

We have 8 games for a Monday night which is nice as we normally don’t get good match ups or a lot of games early in the week. The three games that highlight the night are the Canes/TB, Hawks/Preds and Habs/Oilers. Although the Flames, Stars and Yotes are battling for their playoff lives, the marquee match ups are the three games I mentioned. See my notes below for great info!

**I have started to research teams that come off at least a 5 game road trip and how they fare in their first game back home.** Its 10-8 to date.

Scenario #1 – Teams that are rested, either sitting at home or on the road while their opponent plays the night before. 22-9 over the last month of tracking it! The under is 18-12-1 in these spots.

Scenario #2 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 74-49. Buffalo fits the system today.

Scenario #3 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 35-26-2 when teams play on the road back to back nights. NYI/Boston fit the system tonight.

Scenario #4 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 95-69 in that situation.

Quick stat updates -
First period totals going over were 3-3 last night and are 327-357 on the season.
Road teams were 2-4 last night and are 324-352 on the season.
Game totals going over the total were 3-2-1 last night and are 314-334-27 on the season.

Gamenotes for tonight –

Canes/Lightning – They have split their 6 meetings this season with 4 of 6 going under the total. The home team has won 5 of 6 this season head to head.

Jackets/Panthers – Florida has won 5 of 6 and 4 of 6 have gone under the total this season.

Detroit/Dallas – Wings are terrible on the road while Dallas plays much better at home and need this one to stay in the playoff race. Stars have won 3 of 4 head to head with the Wings lone victory coming at home.

Hawks/Preds – Both teams battling for the final playoff spot in the Central. Preds have won all 5 meetings this season and all 5 have gone under the total!

Sens/Flames – Ottawa has owned Calgary this season winning 5 of 7 head to head, but they aren’t as good on the road. Sens are playing very loose with nothing to lose while Calgary has all the pressure in the world on them to win to stay in the playoff race.

Habs/Oilers – Edmonton has gone under the total for 8 straight games! Habs have won 4 of 5 head to head this season with all 5 going under the total.

Wild/Yotes – Wild have 5 of 6 head to head but 4 of those wins were at home.

SJ/Vegas – Play Scenario #1. Knights played at Anaheim while SJ sat rested in Vegas. Vegas has won 5 in a row, while Sharks have lost 5 in a row at the worst of time in the playoff race. Vegas has won all 5 meetings this season.

All system plays for 1 Unit each tonight –

SJ – ML(+170)

Non-system plays for 1 Unit tonight –

Florida – ML(-227)
Dallas – ML(-222)
Edmonton – ML(-130)

Good luck tonight!
