Last night was another night in which the dogs are starting to hit as Vegas has increased the lines for favs to crazy amounts in the hopes of getting back some of the dollars they have lost this month with so many favs hitting! Home teams and favs were only 6-4 while the over had a slight edge at 5-3-2. First periods totals were even at 5-5. Small card tonight with only 5 games, analysis below.
DET/PITT - The Wings are 3-9 in their last 12 games since the break and are horrible on the road but they were rested last night while the Pens lost in OT to Seattle, go figure! Detroit has rival Toronto on deck tomorrow night at home. Pitt -225 is not worth it though.
MINN/NYR - The Wild have won 6 of their last 7 games but the Rangers are unreal at home. Minny was rested while the Rangers lost in CLB, don't forget I warned all of you that the Rangers would be flat in CLB and get caught looking ahead to the Wild game. Plus the Jackets wanted to rebound from a horrible performance at home. I still lean to the Rangers -105.
COL/CHI - Classic letdown spot for the Avs off a crazy emotional game at home over the Bruins in which they trailed 3-1 in the 3rd period, then made it 3-2, scored to tie the game with the goalie out late in the 3rd. Then won in OT on the PP! They have been hanging on for awhile now, winning close games on this crazy streak and I can see letdown here in Chicago against a team that blew to the Avs the last time they were in Chicago with the crazy Cale Makar OT winner. The Avs are 13-1 since the break but this will be their 15th game in 27 days! Since the break, Chicago has won lost 4, then won 4, lost 4 straight again, then just won in Detroit, I smell a winning streak. Lean to the Hawks +188.
WASH/DAL - The Caps are beyond in a midseason swoon having lost 8 of their last 11 games. They are an very average road team going up against a terrific home team in Dallas. The Stars just won all 4 games on their east coast road trip, even though they beat nobody, they still took care of business against NJ/PHI/DET/BUFF. Strong lean to Dallas -105.
BOS/AZ - The Yote have are off an east coast roadie but rested since Tuesday night. The Bruins are off that emotional loss in Colorado and got Dallas on deck plus it's the Bruins 15th game in 28 days. Lean to AZ +286, as Boston -357 on the road is nuts!
