Qualifying Round Game 1: Become What We Know Is There

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock...the clock has been edging ever-closer to this moment.

A yo-yo season.
A bad defense.
A disappearing act of an offense.
An expensive goalie problem, turned controversy.
A perennial “team on the rise” that consistently falls short.
A worldwide pandemic.

While all true, this is the noise the Florida Panthers have to tune out if they are to find success in this Qualifying Round and beyond.

The X’s and O’s.
The countless hours of practice and footage.
The triumphs and disasters.

What does it all mean in the lead up to the playoffs?

Simple:

Each side knows the stakes.
Each side knows the opponent.
Each side knows what they have to do.
But only one side will do it better to win.

2016 is dust - don’t live in the past. Winners always get up, dust themselves off and move on.

This is it, boys. A pivotal time for the Panthers starts in less than 24 hours. For a team that’s always Climbing, but can’t seem to reach the summit, there’s no option but the win column.

Put up or shut up. Get back to the basics - play hockey and execute the game plan.

Be better than what you’ve been.

Silence the critics.

Push it to the limits. Leave it all on the ice. There is no other option.

Don’t make us come back here and dissect a loss.

The time is now. Seize it. Win and keeping moving forward.
