Ottawa Senators head coach DJ Smith is close to signing an extension with the club. He is entering the final year of his 3 year contract. I am told it will be a two year extension. I will update as I get more info!

WIth NHL free agency set for Noon EST today, I thought I would post an updated list of players I have mentioned in my last five blogs that Ottawa is interested in, plus I added Nazen Kadri with the signing of Gabriel Landeskog. These are players that could be acquired via the trade route or via free agency. The players are in no particular order.
