Overall - Sebastian Cossa looks to be the real deal. He signed his ELC immediately after being drafted (Edvinsson hasn’t yet) and his numbers in his first 6 games are unreal.

Joe Veleno is getting hard to the net. Seems a lock to be the first forward callup. Simon Edvinsson continues to impress as he’s averaging 19:44 TOI at 18, has 1 goal and 5 assists in 11 games and averages 2 shots per game. Albert Johansson has seen his minutes reduced for Farjestad playing 16:52 but has 1 goal and 5 assists in 10 games.

Johansson signed his ELC last summer, will very likely be in North America next season. Edvinsson doesn’t seemed intimidated at all with top minutes. He may be in Training Camp/Grand Rapids next season.

Sebastian Cossa - he’s 4-1-1 in 6 games played with an incredible .958 SV% 1.15 GAA (1 shutout).

Griffins:

It was two very different games for Grand Rapids this weekend. In the home opener, the Griffs beat Rockford 6-1. After the first bus ride of the season, they fell 7-3 to Milwaukee. Highlights so far:

Joe Veleno has 3 goals in his first 2 games. He’s posted a -4, and while I know most people don’t care about +/- anymore, it looks like he was on the ice for 4 goals against in Milwaukee while scoring 2 (1 was power play so he didn’t get a +). He’s skating hard, just needs to keep working on his defensive game. He’s enjoying a 50% shooting percentage (3 goals on 6 shots) so definitely came out ready to play.

Kirill Tyutyayev has 2 assists in 2 games. Dennis Yan has 1G/1A. Hirose has 3 assists in 2 games, Chase Pearson has 1G/2A.

*having trouble finding TOI for Griffins

Frolunda:
Simon Edvinsson (LD) is averaging 19:44 TOI, scored his first goal of the season and has 5 assists (6 points) in 11 games. He’s a +1 and averages 2 SOG (22 in 11 games)

Elmer Soderblom (LW) is averaging 11:01, has 4 goals and 3 assists and is a -1. Also averages 2 SOG

Theodor Niederbach (C) is averaging 9:27, has 1 goal and 1 assist and is a +1. Averages 1 SOG

Farjestad:

Albert Johansson (LD) is averaging 16:52, has 1 goal and 6 assists in 10 games, is a -4 and averages just under 1 SOG (9 in 10 games)

University of Denver:

Shai Buium (LD) - has 3 assists and 9 SOG in 4 games. Is a +7. Can’t find TOI

Carter Mazur (forward) has 2 goals, 0 assists and 16 shots in 4 games. Is a +3

Antti Tuomisto (RD) has 1 assist and 7 shots in 4 games. Is a +6
