Blues visit Vegas without Maroon, Steen sits and Jaybo gets to play |

The Blues will be in Las Vegas tonight to face the Knights against whom they always have gotten at least a point. The Blues will be without Pat Maroon who flew back to St. Louis with an upper body injury and Alexander Steen who also has an upper body injury thought it doesn’t appear to be as serious as Maroon’s injury. Luckily, Brayden Schenn will return to the lineup. Sammy Blais was called back up and is expected to suit up tonight.
The lineup projects to be as follows:
Schwartz - O'Reilly - Tarasenko
Fabbri - Bozak - Schenn
Sanford - Thomas - Perron
Blais - Barbashev – Sundqvist
Gunnarsson - Pietrangelo
Dunn - Parayko
Edmundson - Bouwmeester
Allen
I’m sure Blues fans are super excided to Jay “own goal” Bouwmeester staying in the lineup.
The Knights have struggled to score goals, ranking 29th in the league but are 10th in goals against. They have the 5th best penalty kill but the 9th worst power play.
Not so fun fact of the day for the Blues – former Blue Ryan Reaves has more goals this season than Schenn, Schwartz, and Maroon.
If time allows, I’ll pop back in to share my thoughts on the 1-0 road loss to the Hawks on Wednesday night. Sure the officiating may have been poor but the Blues didn’t do enough to win the game.
NHL Champions for Charity
We’ve gotten some traction on the charity wager among the Central Division bloggers. More on that to come.
It’s a great day for hockey.
