Rangers shoot for three in a row tonight against Flyers

The Rangers look to extend their winning streak to three tonight against the Flyers. Igor Shesterkin, out with a groin injury since March 4, will be back between the pipes. Following tonight's game, New York faces off against Philly again on Saturday, followed by Washington on Sunday.

Tonight's lineup, save for Igor in for Keith Kinkaid in between the pipes, will be the same as Monday. In injury news, Phil Di Giuseppe came off the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list today while Brett Howden remains on there. Coaches Jacques Martin and Greg Brown have been cleared from COVID protocol and have joined the team in Philadelphia while David Quinn remains out.
Philly is a team that has has their issues, Given how the team played both games against Washington and win over Buffalo, save for early in the first and second periods, these should be two winnable games. But as we have seen, what looks good on paper doesn't always translate to the ice.

Part of that may be due to the youth on the team. See below for evidence of that. This is where the leaders need to step up, which I think happened Monday. Up 3-1 headed to the third and then tied, New York could have cratered. Now, Buffalo is not a good team, which helped, but the Rangers righted the ship, didn;t panic and got the win. More of this is what's needed moving forward

As a reminder, due to the way Passover comes out this year, I am out of pocket starting about 6:30 pm tomorrow night to Monday night. The following week, same from Friday about 6:30 to Sunday night. Appreciate you all carrying the blog.
