The Edmonton Oilers have now lost 24 straight games when both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl do not record a point.

As McDavid and Draisaitl go, so go the Edmonton Oilers.

Prior to Sunday night in Edmonton, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Colin Miller had been a healthy scratch in seven of Buffalo's previous fourteen games.

Miller showed his head coach Ralph Kreuger he deserves to remain the starting lineup from here on out by scoring the overtime game winning goal as the Sabres beat the Oilers 3-2.

In the summer of 2019, Sabres GM Jason Botterill traded second and fifth round draft choices to Las Vegas in exchange for Miller.

Marcus Johansson and Jack Eichel added helpers on Miller's OT GWG.

The assist extended Eichel's point streak to 13 consecutive games.

Kyle Okposo scored and Johan Larsson also lit the lamp for the Sabres.

Riley Sheahan and Joakim Nygard scored for the Oilers.

The win gave Buffalo three of six points on thir three game roadie to Calgary, Vancouver and Edminton. The win also gave Ralph Kreuger an in-your-face moment in his return to Edmonton. Kreuger, who head coached the Oilers for the lockout-abbreviated 2013 season. The Oilers awkwardly termnated Kreuger via Skype conference.

Talk about unprofessional. Oilers ownership and senior management should still be chastised for the way they terminated Ralph Kreuger.

Way to go, Ralph. To the victors go the spoils.
