Goalies On Random Shuffle
Dear Tim Murray,
Make it end and all go away.
I can't take the suffering anymore!
Five Sabres' regulars including Matt D'Agostini were injured on Saturday in Beantown.
None of the five will play in Sunday's season finale vs. NY Islanders.
PLEASE get rid of Jamie McBain now and forever!
We have seen enough of McBain's mistakes and miscues to last a lifetime.
Today in Boston, McBain wrecked his second Sabres goalie of the season when he tripped Boston D Torey Krug and sent him flying airborne into a prone, and vulnerable Matt Hackett.
The Sabres goalie was hauled off the ice by stretcher after suffering a lower-body injury (right knee).
Krug was sent flying by Sabres defenseman Jamie McBain and flopped on to the out stretched leg of Hackett as he tried to make a save.Stupid play by the veteran D who was cleanly beaten by Krug. Hackett rolled over writhing in pain. Sabres trainer Tim Macre needed a stretcher to cart Hackett off the ice.
The Sabres have dressed nine different goalies this season. Connor Knapp stopped six of seven shots he faced in relief of Hackett in the loss to Boston.
Name all six Buffalo goalies. I will spot you Ryan Miller and Jhonas Enroth.
Poor Matt Hackett. He became a victim im McBain's latest brain fart.
Game 82 comes not a moment too soon against the NY Islanders.
Having great goalie depth inside the organization is one thing for Tim Murray. Having to use all of the goalies in a two month period of time is entirely another.
The Rochester Amerks need their goalies now because they are locked into a serious fight for a playoff spot. Who backs up Knapp in Buffalo on Sunday is anyone's guess.
Oh, by the way, here are Sabres' goalies from the ill-fated 2013-14 regular season:
Ryan Vinz, Jaro Halak, Michal Neuvirth, Nathan Lieuwen, Matt Hackett, Andrey Makarov, and Connor Knapp.
