Trotz let go by Isles, Updated 12:30; Mon's Buzz

The New York Islanders announced that Barry Trotz has been relieved of his duties.

Kind of a surprising maneuver by Lou Lamoriello, with only one bad season after two years reaching the final four.

Barry Trotz and Lou must have had some philosophical differences moving forward and there is no doubt that Trotz will have a new job as soon as he wants one.

I wouldn’t expect that to be until after at least the first round of the playoffs as I am I quite certain there are a few teams that could be interested if they get bounced here in round 1.

What are your thoughts?

We will discuss this further on today's Buzzcast.
