Just spoke to a source and the NHL is preparing to reveal its ENTIRE plan soon. I am told the reason the NHL has held off talking about the draft in June is that they would rather announce the entire season plan, all at once.
That reveal could come in the next few days, next week at the latest..."but likely sooner."
The Plan could still change, should the virus at any point worsen, but the NHL appears to be preparing for a draft mid June followed by a two week camp for the top 24 teams...then jumping right into a 24 team playoff on Canada Day in four remote locations. Edmonton and Arizona are a good bet to be two of those spots.
Again, this situation is fluid still and until the announcement comes all sorts of changes could occur...what I have written about here is simply the leading possibility.
