Hey hockeyworld! Its great to be back from a brief break. Times like these I appreciate Kevin, Mike, Bill, Karine, Jan, Hank and the rest of the gang for carrying the puck so well.

The Patrick Kane Saga Begins..

There will be plenty of speculation over the next 6 months, but it feels like a really solid bet that Patrick Kane will not be a Hawk for much longer...

However, I have now talked to around 6 teams who would like to be on this, and to date, they are all being told Kane is NOT available as of now. The Hawks appear to want to hold out until the trade deadline, but is that the smart play here?

It does open up the market alot, as his cap hit will be much less, and any team moving for Kane probably is low on space and doesn't really need him until later in the season for a playoff run.

However, if your goal in Chicago is to be the worst team in the NHL, you aren't going to get Kane's help doing that if he is in your lineup. Patrick Kane only knows one way to play...And he wins games...
