Great day of hockey yesterday and today promise to be even more intriguing, and as we are now two weeks away from the trade deadline let’s get to it...

Breaking: The Ducks have fired Randy Carlyle and replaced him with GM Bob Murray on an interim basis.

On Panarin...

He has changed agents and that is probably not the best of news for Jackets fans hoping for his extension, but according to those I speak to the question is more likely not if Panarin will be dealt, but if he will be a Jacket for the playoffs or not..Every team has explored this, but most are coming away feeling the price is just way too prohibitive.. Montreal, NY Rangers, Florida and the Islanders are the teams to keep an eye on, but the general feeling is the two NY teams are out front.

Carolina looking for a Quick fix?

There was a point, a month ago, I was hearing Jonathan Quick was on the market and that Philly was a good bet...but then Carter Hart took over and Quick looked to be destined to stay a King...however, I was told last night that Carolina has VERY seriously inquired...

On Jakob Silfverberg...

The Ducks are talking to EVERYONE. And the one player who is drawing the most looks right now is Jakob Silfverberg...Four teams appear to be out front...Minnesota, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Toronto all have been scouting Jakob ....a lot..

On Kailer Yamamoto...

I hadn't heard his named mentioned much until yesterday...Yamamoto could be moved, but this is one of those instances where it feels like he is part of a MUCH larger deal that is being kept VERY quiet...and I am just hearing the piece that includes this talented young player...The teams I have heard connectd to Kailer? NJ, NYR, and Philly...

More to come...
