Could a Kessel for Karlsson Trade Happen?

Talking to a source today who feels strongly that the Pittsburgh Penguins and "Horse-Trader Extraordinaire" GM Rutherford are looking to get in on Karlsson and possibly avoid Erik heading to Tampa and throwing the power in the Conference to the Lightning. According to my source, Kessel would be involved, but he has heard Kessel could be heading to a third team and not to Ottawa...One source firmly believes Kessel will end up Vegas and Karlsson in Pittsburgh, but no word yet on what exactly would end up heading to Ottawa.

The interesting part of this rumor today is that it has come up suddenly...which is very characteristic of the way the Penguins do things.


Steve Mason to NYR???

Steve Mason may very well end up waiting for a team to lose their keeper this season, but there has been some thought that he could be interested in talking with the NY Rangers...

Jackets in on Skinner?

A source in Carolina is telling me Columbus has interest in Jeff Skinner...This is interesting in regards to Panarin, who I believe I will be officially putting on the Rumor Chart in the next day or so...Many are asking why I have yet to put Panarin on the Chart, and the answer is simple. The Rumor Chart tracks where I personally feel players could end up and I have yet to be able to get a solid read on Panarin...That is starting to change however.
