#6. Evgeni Dadonov
Probably the best UFA2B that know one really thinks about, Dadonov continues to have serious point production very quietly down in Florida. The Panthers may not be able to afford him, but I would expect Columbus, Anaheim, Montreal and Arizona to take a good long look...I like the fit in Columbus a lot.
#7. Braden Holtby
It looks like Holtby will be the guy for the Caps in this playoff run and that could make things very interesting. His play has declined a bit since making "the save" in Vegas and lifting the Cup, and the Caps feel Samsonov is ready. I would be very nervous just counting Holtby out however....Possible landing spots...Carolina, Chicago, Edmonton, and San Jose...Calgary SHOULD have interest, but I hear they are far higher on Lehner..
#8. Sami Vatanen
He's a right-handed Dman and when he is in the lineup he is a game changer. MUCH better defensively than #13 on this list (you will have to wait until the next blog for that one, Vatanen has his fans out there....One big fan of his game is a team that saw a lot of him for a few years..The LA Kings.
#9. Tyler Toffoli
With a bullet, Toffoli had a re-birth in Vancouver when able to not focus so much on his defensive game... He put up 10 points in ten games with the Canucks...I could very much see him staying in Vancouver, but if not Carolina, Florida, and the NY Islanders all tried to also acquire him in the past.
#10 Jacob Markstrom
Staying out in BC, Markstrom had a Vezina type season and his quickness for a HUGE 6'6" goalie will make him the perfect fit in a city in the East if Vancouver doesn't come up with enough term...
