The Oilers have made no secret about the fact that they are trying to land a #1 starter..... Some have even said that Draisaitl and McDavid are pushing for the move to come sooner than later...
Currently. I am hearing two big names and both are interesting on differing levels....in Anaheim, Gibson and in St Louis, Binnington, have both been tied to the Oilers..

Per a source: "This is not an easy deal to make. They have been trying actually for over a week now and getting the numbers along with a no-trade of a player, who is NOT the main piece, has proven to be difficult...."

For a while over the weekend, a third #1 goalie option ....from a team in the East ...was explored. This option was shut down really fast however.
