The NHL is not starting in Bubbles. The NHL is not starting with fans. Those two facts are clear as day, and the NHL is aware of it all. I talked to a source this morning who said the most interesting words I have heard so far.

"The playoff bubbles were incredible undertakings and the NHL hit it out of the park, but what's coming next will make what they just did feel like the just threw a youth hockey tournament. The 20-21 season has all sorts of disasters circing and there are people at the league who are working scenarios constantly..."

The flat cap and lack of revenues is about to cause a ridiculous amount of player movement and it will leave plenty of teams without solid line-ups and several NHL players homeless...

Also, if something isn't done to share revenues or bail out certain teams we could see up to 4 franchises be forced to either fold or re-locate within two seasons....

My source then just texted as I am writing this story...

"Everything is being considered. There could be changes made in the salary cap for this season and next season even. Ways certain money can be relieved.. A lot out there. I will let you know when more concepts get beyond the conceptual."

The NHL is also appealing to State and National Governments in the US and Canada to help out the teams as well..that sounds like something that may need to happen before the NHL gets playing without fans and could push the start date back in to January.

What do you think the NHL needs to do to keep every current team alive?

Back later with more rumors and game six talk.
