What a weekend of hockey we got to witness. 4 intense games with 3 decided in OT and the fourth decided with minutes left in what was as good of a game you will EVER see in any sport at any time...Tonight the fun continues..So let's get at it.
For those curious about my first four predictions..They were:
Boston in 7
NY Islanders in 6
Minnesota in 6
Florida in 7
Now....Carolina vs. Nashville.
This is one of the hardest series to pick, for sure...All season long the Canes were dominant against Nashville....until the final two games where the Press just rolled the Canes...looking like the far better team. Which teams are real? Probably a little bit of both which means U din't expect either team to just take over. The Preds need scoring from Duchene and Johansen. That is the X factor. I don't quite trust them, but I do think they will be better. The Canes issue will be in deciding who to put in net...At the end of the day I see Carolina in 6.
On St Louis and Colorado..
The two most complete teams in these playoffs are clear to me. Tampa and Colorado...St Louis has been wildly inconsistent and their in ability to stop teams...they are the worst team defense in the playoffs, will be tested to the max by Colorado....There is a ton of pride in that Blues room, and a ton of Cup Champions...I just think the Avs are on a mission..Colorado in 6.
