Start here today as I am working on the Rumor Chart to launch shortly. I was making some calls around to figure out what Canadiens could perhaps be moved when I received a tip that the Oilers and Canadiens have talked Carey Price recently and even going back to the summer.
“It won’t be an easy deal to make but Oilers ownership is saying getting us Fleury or Price and we feel a Cup or two is in the offering.”
“And Price is even more enticing because your have a few years to take your shot.”
It will obviously take Montreal keeping some salary, and Edmonton giving up quite a bit of futures to make it happen. It was for that reason I believed there was no shot, but I am told that thought was wrong.
