Last night was entertaining as expected, and the Wild continues thier strong play with a convincing 6-2 victory over the Avalanche.

The trio of Mats Zuccarello, Victor Rask, and Kirill Kaprizov were once again the driving force for thw Wild. Zuccarello started thw scoring and Kaprizov was dazzling all night finishing with two assists including a highlight no look spin pass to Ryan Hartman who made the deke on Grubauer before lifting thw backhanded into the net for his third of the season.

Zach Parise snapped his personal nine game goal scoring drought with a nice redirect of Matt Dumba's shot/pass. The goal by Parise also marked his 800th career point. Zuccarello also hit a milestone in the Wild win with his 400th NHL point.

Nico Sturm scored his first career regular season goal on a breakaway in the third and added husbsecond into the empty net.

Kaapo Kahkonen earned the nod from Dean Evason, over a healthy Cam Talbot, and rewarded his coach with another standout performance.

The production is coming from up and down the lineup and the boys are rolling right now. It is not time to get giddy about anything yet, but you uave to be impressed with how the team is coming together. They are light years ahead of the team that we saw on the ice last season and in August against the Canucks.

There is confidence and competition for ice time that is being earned on a nightly basis. Gone are the days where the veterans monopolized thw ice time in every critical situation. There is a real sense of team and every player pulling together in the same direction.

There is a lot of work to be done, however this team is very entertaining to watch and the best is still ahead.
