The Wild and Blues open a three game set with the Blues tonight in St. Louis. Minnesota holds a 10 point lead in the standings with a game in hand. The first two games are in St. Louis tonight and tomorrow, with the third back in St. Paul on Monday.

These games could go a long way in determining the the playoff race in the Honda/West both who gets in and how the top of the division may shake out. The Wild trail Vegas by just 2 points and are sitting in third place while St. Louis is on the outside looking in with 17 games remaining.

For the Wild they will be looking to build on their tremendous effort Wednesday night in their 8-3 victory over Colorado. Kaapo Kahkonen gets the start tonight while the rest of the Wild lineup will be the same as we saw in Wednesday.

Marcus Foligno is getting to closer to returning but for tonight he remains sidelined and Nico Sturm will again watch from the press box.

Time to build on the big win not let the foot off the gas. Statement game to say the least with a chance to push the dagger into St. Louis just a bit more with a win tonight.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
