The Wild have signed Jacob Middleton to a 3- year $2.35M contract. That gives the Wild seven defensemen under contract for next season.
Middleton was set to be an RFA. After being acquired for Kaapo Kahkonen at the trade deadline, Middleton established himself alongside Jared Spurgeon and completing the Wild top four defense pairs. Up until that point thw Wild could not settle on a permanent partner for Spurgeon after his longtime defense mate Ryan Suter was bought out last Summer.
Another great move and clutch reasonable sign by Bill Guerin, so again tgw question is raised, which of the defense prospects will be packaged to bolster the Wild roster?
