The Wild opened their pre-season with a 6-2 defeat in St. Louis vs. A much more veteran Blues lineup.
Adam Beckman scored both Wild goals showing us a glimpse of the scoring touch that we hope to see Ina Wild uniform very soon. Both Matt Boldy and Marco Rossi were in the lineup and skated together on a line with Jordan Greenway.
Dean Evason was more concerned with the compete level of his young players and their ability to keep up with the NHL pace of play, rather than structure last night.
He got that in spades as thw Wild prospect led lineup competed and showed themselves well despite thw outcome on thw scoreboard.
Now they get more practice sessions in to learn and implement Evason's game strategy before they travel to face the Avalanche on Thursday night.
