Getting Healthier Wild Ducks Tonight

Tonight should look a little more like the Minnesota Wild on the blue line rather than the Iowa Wild lineup from Tuesday night in LA.

Jared Spurgeon and Ian Cole are expected back in the lineup as are Nick Bonino and Nico Sturm.

Dakota Mermis and Calen Addison will remain in the lineup while Louie Belpedio and Matt Barkowski will check out.

The Wild looked like a team that has had two weeks off when they returned against the Kings losing 4-0 on Tuesday night.

Bright spots for the Wild were the return to the lineup following injuries, of Matt Dumba and making his season debut Mats Zuccarello.

Zuccarello looked like a player who had not played all year though and really hope that the procedure that he had helps to return him to the form he once had prior to donning the Wild sweater. Zuccarello is going to be relied upon to be a catalyst offensively especially this year with the lack of playmaker down the middle.

Kaapo Kahkonen will once again be in net for the Wild as Cam Talbot remains on the Covid-19 list.

Hopeful that the offense returns tonight and more importantly the powerplay comes to life. It is really becoming worrisome that the man advantage units continue to come up empty night after night.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
