For the second year in a row the Wild have a finalist for the King Clancy Award, as Matt Dumba has been named a finalist following former Wild forward Jason Zucker winning last years Clancy for hi outstanding service to the community.

Matt Dumba has been very active within the Minnesota community, which was escalated following the senseless death of Grorge Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police. The subsequent riots and destruction of Lake Street and wide spread chaos that followed have created significant hardship for many affected.

Dumba has put his money and actions where his mouth is and stepped up to make a difference. The formation of Hockey Diversity Alliance led by Dumba and Sharks forward Evander Kane has been instrumental in bringing attention to the racial injustice that has gone on for far too long.

Matt Dumba has taken a stand and his insporarional speech prior to the first game played in the Qualifying Round in Edmonton, showed just the kind of character he has.

The game of hockey needs to be a safe place for all regardless of race and Dumba along with his colleagues with the Diversity Hockey Alliance are doing their part.

A well deserved honor for Dumba in recognition of his sense of community and how sports and athletes can have a significant impact and make a difference.
