Game 45 Preview: Flyers vs. Stars
The Philadelphia Flyers (24-14-6) will host the Dallas Stars (26-12-5) at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening. Game time is 7:00 p.m. ET.
For the Flyers, Thursday's game is start of a four-game homestand. The Flyers, who have won four in a row, swept a three-game midwestern road trip including a
4-2 win in St Louis on Monday. The Flyers have had the last two days off to recuperate from a spell of five games in eight nights.
The Stars are starting a four-game road trip. Dallas has won four of its last five games. On Tuesday, the Stars earned a 5-1 home win over the LA Kings.
On the injury front, the statuses of Sean Couturier (undisclosed minor injury) and Jamie Drysdale (illness) with be clearer after Thursday's 10:30 a.m. morning skate in Voorhees, along with the confirmation on whether Carter Hart or Samuel Ersson will get the start in goal. The Stars will hold an 11:30 a.m. morning skate at the Wells Fargo Center. Top defenseman Miro Heiskanen, who has missed six games with a lower-body injury, is on the trip with the team.
