The Flyers made 10 roster moves on Wednesday, reducing the roster to 13 forwards, eight defenseman and three goaltenders. The most notable cut was that of center Morgan Frost. Frost struggled to create offense in three preseason games but showed progress in other aspects of his game. Philly likewise assigned 19-year-old 2020 first-round pick Tyson Foerster to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The rest of the roster moves were as follows: Waiver-exempt players Isaac Ratcliffe, Linus Högberg and Linus Sandin were assigned to Lehigh Valley. Non-exempt players Connor Bunnaman, German Rubtsov, Adam Clendening and Gerry Mayhew were placed on waivers for purposes of being assigned to the Phantoms. If they clear, they will be sent to the Phantoms on Thursday. Additionally, veteran Phantoms center Cal O'Reilly (who is on an AHL contract) was released from his training camp PTO, and will join the Phantoms immediately.

Players still in camp include forwards Jackson Cates and Garrett Wilson (AHL contract, PTO), defensemen Cam York and Nick Seeler as well as the third goaltender on the current depth chart, Felix Sandström.
