The San Jose Sharks finally snapped their 10-game losing streak yesterday, defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2.
The Sharks got off to a great start, going up 3-0 through 20 minutes off two goals from Scott Reedy and another from Rudolfs Balcers. Jack Roslovic did score two goals in the third period to make it interesting but San Jose held on for the win.
Thomas Bordeleau also picked up another assist, marking two points in two NHL games so far. Meanwhile, Kaapo Kahkonen continued his stretch of strong play for the Sharks, having allowed just eight goals over his last four games.
In other news, the Sharks also signed goaltender Strauss Mann to an entry-level contract yesterday. The deal is for a single year and carries an $842,500 cap hit.
Mann is 23 years old and was undrafted, but posted a .914 save percentage in 22 games this season, playing in Swedenâs top professional league.
The Sharksâ next game comes tomorrow against the St. Louis Blues.
